Welcoming Jerry Chapman as Numberline’s Chief Technology Officer

Those of you who have been following and engaging with us at Numberline will have clearly seen the close connection and philosophical alignment between the book, “Zero Trust Security: An Enterprise Guide”, and the structure of our advisory service offerings. This is to be expected, given that I’m one of the two authors of that book.

Over the past two-plus years, I’ve led Numberline through its launch, the creation of our initial set of advisory services, and multiple client engagements. In the past six months, we released two major components of our unique Zero Trust advisory services:

• ZTMM+, our enhanced and extended version of the CISA Zero Trust maturity model
• The Zero Trust Blueprint, our structured approach to implementing Zero Trust, with an emphasis on rapidly delivering both security and business value

Of course, I didn’t do this alone. I’ve had the good fortune to be able to rely on friends, colleagues, and outside advisors, in addition to many incredibly valuable conversations and consulting engagements with enterprise clients. And, perhaps most importantly, I’ve been able to collaborate with my co-author Jerry Chapman, who has been contributing as an outside advisor to Numberline.

Even as I take a moment to celebrate our milestones to date, I’m really focused on what the future will bring. In fact, today represents a new chapter for Numberline; I’m very pleased to announce that as of today, Jerry is officially joining Numberline as Chief Technology Officer. And, given Jerry’s ongoing counsel and input, we’re also granting him co-founder status.

We’ve got a lot planned — including enhancements to our Zero Trust advisory services, a forthcoming training course, and a new set of Identity-related offerings that Jerry just announced in his blog posting today.

Of course, we’re not going to take our eye off the ball; we’ll continue to work with current and new clients on their Zero Trust initiatives, and in fact will be investing to grow our team of talented advisors. Jerry, officially welcome on board, and I’m looking forward to a legendary year!
