Thoughts on our Initial Neighborhood Meeting

October 4, 2024 · Numberline Marketing

We recently hosted our inaugural Zero Trust Neighborhood meeting, which we launched to provide Zero Trust practitioners with a community to question, inform, and generally gain insight from on security best practices.

Here are some quick takeaways from this first session. Understand that the session was not recorded and we promised attendees’ identities would remain anonymous.

  • All agreed that Zero Trust is a security strategy used to define your vision, prioritize investments (time and budget), and define the structure of your security team and program.
  • All agreed that prior to adopting a Zero Trust program, many information security organizations didn’t have a strategy in place, so the adoption of Zero Trust was actually the first time they’d defined one.

Of course there was more to the discussion, but this one tidbit was an eye opener! Many of us may now think of Zero Trust as not just a way to implement information security best practices, but also as a way to for the first time give your team a unified way of thinking about and approaching security within your enterprise.

If you’re a security professional, especially if you’re interested or currently involved in adopting Zero Trust, please visit our Neighborhood page for more information on registering for upcoming sessions!

Or, if you’re interested in an individualized session about how a Zero Trust strategy can benefit your enterprise, sign up for a free, 30-minute one-on-one Zero Trust Strategy Kickstart session : https://ms.numberlinesecurity.com/ztsk

Either way, or both, we look forward to meeting you!
