Microsoft Entra Security Service Edge: Commentary

This week, Microsoft announced a new Security Service Edge (SSE) offering as part of their expanded Microsoft Entra family of products. Specifically, they announced the preview of two services:

• Their Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Microsoft Entra Internet Access
• Their Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) offering, Microsoft Entra Private Access

This is big news, and represents the entry of a major platform player into the SSE market place. I’ve recorded a video with a walkthrough of the architecture and capabilities of these new offerings, with some commentary and analysis on what this means.
